Judy Haag was born and raised in Westwood which is a community of Cincinnati. She attended Cheviot Elementary School, and attended and graduated from Western Hills High School. She attended the University of Cincinnati getting a degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling. Judy then began teaching at College Hill Elementary School and attending College Hill Presbyterian Church where she met Jerry Kirk the pastor and Gary Sweeten who was on Staff at the time.

Judy is the founder of Time of Refreshment, a retreat ministry dedicated to creating time and space to connect with God for 22 years. She is also the founder of the retreat "Spiritual Tool Basket” and the founder/author/presenter of the popular multi-media lecture series entitled "In Jesus Time”, "Journey to Jerusalem and Journey to Bethlehem” for 16 years, a retreat leader, a spiritual mentor, photojournalist, educator by profession and former camp co-director for 17 years plus on staff with Young Life ministry here in Cincinnati. All these ministries are an overflow of her character—someone who is very intentional and an enthusiastic connector and networker. She enthusiastically connects refreshing quiet with stretching spiritual encounters and intimacy with God. Judy’s connecting ability grabs your attention and takes you into spiritual riches that you previously thought were only for spiritual giants. She lights up a room –with her smile, her contagious laughter and you find that you want to connect with her. While she has great energy, her energy cultivates the desire for and experience, spiritual renewal.
